Marula Oil -Marula oil, as far as we're concerned, might as well be called "Miracle Oil". This highly-absorbable and incredibly hydrating oil is extracted from the kernel inside the fruit from the Marula tree in Namibia. Considered a delicacy as food, its value as a skin conditioner and reparative is beyond measure. Its fatty acids and omegas fight free radical damage from sun and pollution helping erase signs of aging. As a powerfully-hydrating anti-microbial it is great for acne and all other kinds of skin blemishes. It can even reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars while also helping to balance all types of skin.

Camellia Oil -A treasured skin care secret of the Japanese geisha from ancient to present times, camellia oil is a wonderful emollient comprised of 82% Oleic (Omega-9) fatty acids. Also packed with polyphenol antioxidants, Omega-6 Linoleic fatty acids and other free radical fighting compounds, camellia oil is a readily-absorbable anti-aging agent derived from the green tea plant. Used for centuries by the geisha to remove their exceptionally heavy makeup, camellia oil cleans and nourishes, leaving skin soft and youthful.

Jojoba Oil -Acne and oily skin are the result of overactive sebaceous glands. Jojoba oil (actually a liquid wax extracted from the nut of the desert-dwelling jojoba shrub) so closely resembles the structural make up of sebum that it is readily absorbed into the skin, locking in moisture and controlling the production of the body's natural oils. Problem skin in general (whether oily or dry) will benefit greatly from this terrific skin balancer.

Sacha Inchi Oil -This oil, derived from the seed within the beautiful, exotic pod of the South American sacha inchi tree, has a remarkably high level of the Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids, as well as Omega-9. While Omega-3 linolenic acid has been shown to protect against sun damage, Omega-6 linoleic acid has been shown to reduce acne breakouts. Add to these the free radical-fighting antioxidants vitamin A and vitamin E present in sacha inchi oil and you get a highly-absorbable oil that is great for repairing, nourishing and balancing your skin.

Safflower Oil -Safflower oil's abundance of linoleic acids combine with the skin's natural sebum to unclog pores and remove acne and rashes. This odorless oil is also highly regenerative, stimulating growth of new skin cells for a youthful radiance.

Borago Oil -Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is a robust Omega-6 fatty acid with strong anti-inflammatory properties that the human body is unable to produce on its own. Borago seed oil has the highest concentration of GLA compared with any other seed oils (borago oil is comprised of about 24% GLA). This GLA content, which helps repair the skin's intracellular moisture barrier, makes borago oil a great ingredient for combatting afflictions like eczema and seborrheic dermatitis.

French Lavender Oil -One of the most ubiquitous ingredients and/or scents in soaps, shampoos, detergents, and skin care products, lavender is a true workhorse with good reason. When it comes to skin care, studies have shown that French lavender inhibits the growth of bacteria. Furthermore, not only is it a great defender against acne, it is also an insect repellent and healer of insect wounds. But it should come as no surprise it is known best for its gorgeous aroma. As with all Apothecary 90291 ingredients, it is its healing properties that earn it a place in our ingredients list, but we love that it serves double-duty as an aromatherapy tool!

Clary Sage Oil -A fabulous antiseptic and antibacterial, clary sage oil is great for curbing skin problems from physical and environmental damage. Its astringent qualities make it an effective skin toner, and the high concentration of the ester, linalyl acetate, makes it a great balancer of both oily and dry skin (and everything in between). On top of it all, it acts as an anti-inflammatory helping to control rashes and other skin disturbances.

Corsican Immortelle Oil -The healing powers of this dazzlingly valuable oil are matched only by its rarity and the expense by which it is acquired. Carefully harvested from the rocky, high-altitude cliffs of the Corsican countryside, and requiring one ton of flowers to extract one liter of oil, immortelle works wonders on everything from soft-tissue injury and post-surgery healing, to the more everyday concerns of erasing fine lines and acne scars. German Chamomile Oil -This oil's extraordinary blue color comes from the presence of chamazulene, a compound known for its ability to combat skin irritations. In addition to its benefits as a skin care tool, it is also used by aromatherapists to challenge feelings of anger and rage, while promoting thoughts and feelings of peace and patience. Indeed, just looking at its exquisite blue color is known to create calm in the observer. This amazing oil is a healer of mind, body and spirit!

Directions:

1. Start with a clean, well toned face.

2. Warm up few drops of the oil between your palms. This will also help the oil to distribute evenly on both hands.

3. Press your full hand on both sides of your face, forehead, neck and decoletage.

Use it on its own or add it to your moisturizer.

Avoid contact with eyes.

If applying makeup, allow 3-5 minutes for the oils to fully absorb, then apply makeup as usual.

Tip:

For an extra glow repeat step 2 & 3 and pat onto your face on top of your makeup.
